Title of the Talk :
Revolutionizing Data Value Chains: Medallion Architecture Meets Microsoft Fabric

Abstract of Talk:
As enterprises continue to embrace data-driven transformation, the challenge is no longer about collecting data but about organizing, enriching, and delivering it at scale with speed, trust, and intelligence. The Medallion Architecture has emerged as a proven layered design to manage data maturity across three stages—Bronze (raw), Silver (validated), and Gold (curated for analytics and AI)—to enable reliability, traceability, and reuse. Enter Microsoft Fabric, a unified data platform that seamlessly brings together data engineering, data science, business intelligence, and real-time analytics—all underpinned by OneLake, a centralized, lake-first storage system. Fabric complements the Medallion Architecture by natively supporting lakehouse paradigms, enabling structured processing through pipelines and notebooks, governance through Purview integration, and visualization via tightly integrated Power BI. This presentation explores how pairing Microsoft Fabric with the Medallion Architecture can disrupt traditional siloed data estates by simplifying architecture, accelerating time to insight, and reducing duplication. Through real-world examples and solution blueprints, we’ll demonstrate how Fabric automates progression from raw to refined data layers, enabling better governance, AI readiness, and collaborative innovation between data teams and business users. Attendees will gain a practical understanding of how to implement this synergy in their own organizations—turning complex data chaos into curated insight pipelines that deliver real business value.
